What are the symptoms of swine flu?

Symptoms of swine flu include high fever, muscle aches, fatigue, coughing, sneezing, sore throat, possible vomiting and diarrhea. 

 

What can you do?

There are some simple steps you can take to protect yourself. Get the H1N1 flu vaccine.  Discuss whether you should have the nasal spray or shot with your physician.

 

Wash hands frequently with an antibacterial soap, cover your mouth when coughing and sneezing (and when you are around others who are coughing and sneezing), avoid contact with sick people and stay home if you feel sick. If you have symptoms consistent with swine flu, seek medical attention.  If you have a child under the age of 5 who is exhibiting severe symptoms, or you are pregnant and have symptoms, seek medical attention immediately.
